About the project

The early 20th century was filled with turbulence — unstable governments, assassinations and wars which lead to revolutions. It was a time where radicalism and modernism was one; modernist ideals propelled and encouraged revolutions to be staged across all of Europe. These brought new ideas of what the future would hold, and how people would begin the change to reflect this industrious, modernist new era. As well as others, visual communication flourished in this era, bringing new figures into the scene that change how we saw and are seeing the ever evolving modern design.
